The hike ends at a place called Lemon Squeezer where you will go up stairways which takes you to an awesome overlook of the Catskill Mountains and Mohonk Preserve. Follow this fern-lined trail until the junction with the Lichen Trail, marked with a cairn at the fork in the path. This natural playground on the grounds of the famed Mohonk Mountain House invites you to crawl under, around and over boulders - the Labyrinth - before reaching a one-of-a-kind grand finale - a stomach-steeling climb via ladder up a slender crevice in a cliff. There are several awesome sections of this hike to note: First, there is the massive scrambles and climbs through rocks in the beginning. Climb to the top of Lemon Squeezer via the easy way or the hard way, and once you are finished exploring, head back out the entrance and turn left onto the Arden-Surebridge Trail, blazed with a red triangle on a white background.
